This berry sauce comes together quickly and is versatile in its use. This recipe is one often requested from my children and I am happy to make it, knowing that the ingredients are healthy. Use this sauce to top oatmeal, pancakes, waffles or even by itself as a healthy dessert.
*This recipe is to be used AFTER the metabolic or diabetes protocol. This recipe can be used during all other protocols.

Ingredients: (2 servings)
1 cup mixed frozen berries
¼ cup water
2 Tbs cornstarch (non-GMO) or Arrowroot powder
2 Tbs. water
2 tsp. agave or pure maple syrup (or 1 packet stevia)
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract (optional)
Directions:
Place frozen berries and ¼ cup water in a small pot over medium low heat. Cook until berries are no longer frozen.
Mix cornstarch and 2 Tbs. water in a small bowl until well combined. Add mixture to the pot and stir well.
Add sweetener (agave, maple syrup or stevia) and vanilla extract (if using)
Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
Cook until desired consistency. (The longer you cook it, the thicker it will become)
