Savory and unforgettable, this dish is packed with many incredible benefits. The combination of pico de gallo and lettuce adds vitamins C and E while providing strength to the immune system. The tuna in this recipe adds protein as well as omega-3 fatty acids to this flavorful dish.

Ingredients:

  1. ¾ –1 cup (to your liking) Pico de Gallo

  2. ½  can albacore tuna in water, drained

  3. 1 cup romaine lettuce, finely sliced

Directions:

In a medium bowl, place drained tuna and shred. Add pico de gallo to bowl and mix well to combine all flavors. Mix in lettuce and enjoy.

(Note: If you’re not on the weight loss protocol, you may enjoy this salad with a side of brown rice as well as add 2 tsp. of virgin olive oil to the pico de gallo.)
